I wrote a book!

Lines in the Leaves; A Creative’s Journey to Renewal

While the book itself may primarily consist of written content, its presentation is crucial in conveying its message and attracting readers. Here's how…

Project Objectives:

  1. Creating a visually pleasing cover and layout that captures the essence of the memoir and entices potential readers.

  2. Developing a cohesive design that reflects the theme of the memoir.

  3. Design interior layouts that enhance the reading experience and complement the narrative structure.

  4. Ensure the design elements align with the vision while appealing to the target audience.

Conceptualization

Much like the name of my studio, I was inspired by nature and the simplicity of nature. Lines in the Leaves started as a look into small intricacies of life that make up grand moments for us and essentially define us. The idea was to explore the life that I have lived thus far and push my boundaries of design to help my reader learn and discover things about themselves in the process.

Interior Layout

Some of my inspiration came from actual works of art I’ve created over the years, while others came straight from journal entries, photographs and poems I’ve written. All of it came from a place of deep searching, to create something that I could fully pour myself into.

Final Iteration

The result was a book that not only inspired me to continue my journey as a designer but also dive into writing and fully exploring my artistic capabilities. I think it’s important to be well rounded in all aspects of the creative process and writing and designing this book helped start meaningful conversations about the pursuit of simplicity and fulfillment.
